“I knew, when I came across the building three years ago, that I had to see it become a multi-functional venue. The 733 is architecturally built for sound; there is just no other mid-size venue to compare it to in the city. Having the opportunity to hold space for artistic expression, in all its varieties is truly a dream come true.We intend to inspire and ignite the local performing-arts community by focusing on diverse programming. Whether it be on the website or in the venue; we will always, and very liberally, highlight local music: Its time for Tacoma to ‘step out of shadow of Seattle’ in more ways than one.”

Alease Frieson  Creative Director, the 733

“My mission with the 733 is one of artistic freedom, creation and pure collaboration. As the technical director I drive programs which exists to empower emerging artists with the full benefit of professional brand strategy, cinematography, and a technological and social road map to creating and reaching the audiences they deserve. It’s my strongest belief that the path of the artist deserves the same potential to be a life long career for our young people as does being a doctor or lawyer. “

Jason Farris,  Director of Arts & Technologies, the 733

733 is a one of a kind space.  With it’s built for sound ballroom, charming lounge & dining room, and multi street access, this venue has the space and versatility to be a major hub for artists of all kinds.  I believe that what we have to offer is a vehicle to continue in Tacoma’s general cultivation and support of the arts.  We are striving to create more that just a physical space for performance art.  We want to encourage and promote an memorable experience unlike anything else that Tacoma has to offer.”
